Start: Murgon Station (UBD Unknown Ref, GPS -26.242737,151.941603)

Murgon to Goomeri Rail Trail Distance: 17.3km, Difficulty: H3 Sunday 22nd August 2021 

Description: 

From old Murgon Station (Now a Mens Shed - Elevation 323 meters) ride to Goomeri Station/Goomeri Showgrounds (Elevation 255 meters) in the centre of town. From the Murgon end, there is a gradual elevation until you reach a point 6.75km from this town where it peaks at 346 meters so its a 23 meter climb before track descends into Goomeri. The final 7 km from the Goomeri end is challenging with about 4 creek crossings so expect to get a bit of splash of water in the creek bed and 10 gates, and around 6km from Goomeri end the track is really rocky for about a kilometre. There are track markers every kilometer starting at 45 and ending at 28 just west of Goomeri town.

Murgon to Wondai Rail Trail Distance: 13.7km, Difficulty: H2 Sunday 22nd August 2021 

Description: 

From old Murgon Station (Now a Mens Shed - Elevation 323 meters) ride to Wondai Station (Elevation 328 meters) in the centre of town. From the Murgon end, track there starts to descend for about 3km before it levels off, but doesn't start ascending until you reach the 9.3km to 11.3km where the climb is more noticeable approximately 30 meters in this 2km range. The remainder of trip to Wondai is relatively flat right into town. The track is sealed gravel all the way including the creek crossings and is suitable for both Mountain Bike and Hybrids  There are track markers every kilometer starting at 45 and ending at 58 Near Wondai station.

Wondai to Murgon Rail Trail Distance: 13.7km, Difficulty: H2 Sunday 22nd August 2021 

Description: 

From Wondai Station (Elevation 328 meters) in the centre of town, ride to old Murgon Station (Now a Mens Shed - Elevation 323 meters). From the Wondai end for first 2km is relatively flat before it descends about 30 meters in the space of 2km around 2.4km to 4.4km outside of Wondai and is then relatively flat until 3km outside of Murgon where it starts to ascend into Murgon town.  The track is sealed gravel all the way including the creek crossings and is suitable for both Mountain Bike and Hybrids  There are track markers every kilometer starting at 58 and ending at 45 Near Murgon station.

Wondai to Kingaroy Rail Trail Distance: 30.7km, Difficulty: H2 Sunday 8th May 2022 

Description: 

From Wondai Station (Elevation 328 meters) in the centre of town at the old railway station, ride to Kingaroy Station (Elevation 437 meters), passing through localities Tingoora, Wooroolin, Memerambi and Crawford. The track almost follows the Bunya Highway between the start and end of the ride. The track keeps climbing (Steepest ascent) all the way from Wondai until your about a little over 1km south of Wooroolin which is half way into the ride where it peaks at 493 meters, relatively flat until you reach Crawford before descending into Kingaroy.
