Esk to Toogoolawah (Return) Rail Trail Mountain Bike Distance: 39.3km (Return), Difficulty: H1.5 Wed 22nd July 2020 

Description: 

Start at old Esk railway station in Pipeliner park and ride the rail trail all the way to Toogoolawah for a coffee and chat at  Hav'a'Chat Cafe just behind the old Toogoolawah Station in main street of town. Very rocky at Esk end track seems to incline from both towns to the Brisbane Valley Way underpass. Recommended for Mountain Bikes or good quality hybrids only.

Esk to Coominya (Return) Rail Trail Mountain Bike Distance: 48.9km (Return), Difficulty: H2.5 Thur 23rd July 2020 

Description: 

Start at old Esk railway station in Pipeliner park and ride the rail trail all the way to Coominya for a coffee in the park at end of Trail. There is a $3 Coffee vending machine at the Bellevue Hotel across the road, or snacks at the general store on the other side of the rail trail to the pub. If you book ahead you can get Scones and Tea at Coominya Homestead. There are 5 culvert crossings on the route with the second last one 9km from Coominya end being the worst one. Well graded and clearly defined track, some culverts concreted. The highest point seems to be Mt Hellem about 10km from Esk end after you cross the Esk-Gatton Rd. Recommended for Mountain Bikes or good quality hybrids only.
