Description: 

From Kilkivan Railway (Elevation 144 meters) ride the old rail trail track to the old Goomeri Station in the centre of town (Elevation 255 meters). The track climbs roughly 148 meters till it peaks near Kimbombi locality 22 km from Kilkivan about 6km from Goomeri and descends 37 meters down to Goomeri town from there. There are about 3 creek crossing (Abandoned railway bridges), the worst one about 12km from the Kilkivan end. Track is a rough grade, unsealed and rocky all the way. Counted around 30 gates to open and close. The Goomeri bakery and cafe near the clock tower in town 29 Moore St does great coffee and cakes. The route has markers every km starting at Kilkivan end with marker 28 being just on the western end of Goomeri town.

The track climbs roughly 37 meters till it peaks near Kimbombi locality approximately 6km out of Goomeri town and is downhill almost the remaining 22km to Kilkivan from there. Track is a rough grade, unsealed and rocky/grasslands, with some smooth surface all the way. Counted around 30 gates to open and close. Coffee at Jules Cafe in main st of Kilkivan opposite old Kilkivan Railway Station. The route has markers every kilometer starting at Kilkivan end with marker 28 being just on the western end of Goomeri town.

From Goomeri Showgrounds (Elevation 255 meters) ride to the old Murgon Station (Now a Mens Shed - Elevation 323 meters) in the centre of town. From the Goomeri end, there is a gradual elevation until you reach a point 10.5km from Murgon where it peaks at 346 meters so its a 23 meter descent into Murgon town, but a climb of 91 meters till you reach this highest point. The first 7 km from the Goomeri end is challenging with about 4 creek crossings and 10 gates, and around 6km from Goomeri end the track is really rocky for about  a kilometer.  For coffee suggest either the Coffee Bar 79 Lamb St Murgon, Murgon Bakery 92 Lamb St Murgon, Ryia Cafe 116 Lamb St Murgon but nothing seemed to be open on a Sunday. There is markers every kilometer along the route from marker 28 just at western end of Goomeri all the way to marker 45 near the old Murgon Railway Station.
